Heh, this was a neat one - ever tried to draw the gears of a bike in pen without looking at the paper? Well, modified-contour drawing here - I'd draw a complete shape without looking at the page, glance down long enough to place the pen at the starting point of the new shape, then ignore the page. Repeat for about 2 hours and you end up with something like this. Not the best, for only looking at the page for about 5% of the time, I'm happy with it.
Yeah, me too, but it's all about getting 'into the zone' or whatever, that tunnel-vision thing. But yeah, 2 hours straight is about my limit before I gotta just go sit down somewhere and clear my head. Which of course is exactly why the Nintendo DS was inivented. :3
Yeah, the trance. Although it's hard to get into something that isn't very interesting in the first place. Fortunately the classes have the teacher has much skill in placement for still life.
